So are taking them a half-eaten fruit cake?

I like fruit cake. I dont see nice fruit-cake here very often, and certainly not in the super-market. I do have fond memories of Great-Nans christmas cakes.

Maybe I should take to making my own fruit-cakes. I could them sell them at market.

Have you a good recipe Mother dearest? I'd prefer one that's a family secret and has been handed down over generations, but any recipe will suffice. :-)

I don't think mthere is such a thing Al. However, Mums cake of yesterday is worthy of being handed down.

Should we start a search for the Counsell Fruit Cake. As it's on the web we could call our mission:
CFC e-Mission

Oh how I long for a wintery afternoon in front of the Fire, the latest Stargate on TV and a piece of Fruit-Cake as big as my head.

Ahh, happy days.

Mum dropped off the "half-eaten" fruit cake this morning. It's exceptional good, and I'm eating a slice right now...

Thanks Mum :)

When I am up in the Australian mountains I will make lots of fruit cake ,while singing along to the best mountain disco song, which in my opinion is the punk rock one .
